    Japonské pily řežou na rozdíl od evropských tahem a nikoli tlakem. „Kataba“ se z japonštiny překládá jako „řezání na jedné straně“. Pily Kataba se běžně používají pro větší a hluboké řezy a mají tedy zuby pouze po jedné straně.

    Přesné čepele vyrobené z prémiové japonské nástrojové oceli SK-85, kalené na 58 HRC a indukčně kalené zuby na 71 HRC.

    Rukojeť - lehká balsa ovinutá ratanem pro pohodlné a uchopení.
