Availability in two lengths
The WMD digital protractors are available in two lengths: as a compact version with a length of 200 mm (total length 400 mm), and as a version with a length of 500 mm (total length 1000 mm). The 500 mm version is particularly suitable for professional craftsmen, e.g. for detecting wall angles and bridging running surfaces in corners, due to its long footprint.
An arm like a hair ruler.
The base arm is equipped with a measuring edge with a 45° inclination. Thus, the WMD digital protractor can also be used as a hairline ruler for checking the flatness of the workpiece surface. To do this, the ruler is attached with the measuring edge to the surface to be checked. Here it is straight or not, it is known in the backlight by the light gap that can be observed when unevenness occurs.
Measuring edge with stop.
The measuring edge is also equipped with a stop. Thus, the WMD digital protractor can also be used as a digital protractor. The base arm is fixed on one edge while the other arm is used to measure or mark the angle. A stop ensures secure locking and prevents unintentional slipping off the workpiece while measuring angles with the protractor.
Robust arms.
For better rigidity, the aluminium arms are reinforced with reinforcing ribs on the underside, which prevents the arms from sagging. The metric scale on both arms of the digital protractor has a high contrast and can therefore be read very well. Thus, measurements can be made accurately and reliably, minimizing errors and discrepancies.
Battery slot with child lock.
The digital protractor module contains a CR2032 button cell battery. The battery compartment with child lock meets the IEC 62368-1:2018 product safety standard. Thus, the battery compartment must be opened with two fingers simultaneously to change the battery.
HOLD function.
The current reading can be manually fixed with the fixing screw or held on the display via the "Hold" function. The measured value will remain on the display even if the protractor is moved or removed completely from its position. This additional function is particularly helpful in situations where the angle needs to be measured in inaccessible places where the display value cannot be read or is difficult to read.
Function Zero.
Function Zero allows you to set the current angle value to zero, or set a new zero point. Zeroing creates a reference for the next angle measurement with the protractor, with the current angle value as the starting point. If the Zero function is activated, the current angle value is set as the zero point.
