Available in two lengths
WMD digital protractors are available in two lengths: as a compact version with a length of 200 mm (total length 400 mm), and as a version with a length of 500 mm (total length 1000 mm). Due to its long contact surface, the 500 mm version is particularly suitable for professional tradespeople, e.g., for determining wall angles and bridging recessed surfaces in corners.
The arm functions as a hairpin ruler.
The base arm is equipped with a measuring edge at a 45° angle. This allows the WMD digital protractor to be used as a hairline straightedge for checking the flatness of a workpiece surface. To do this , place the straightedge with the measuring edge against the surface being checked. Whether the surface is flat or not can be determined by holding it up to the light and observing the light gap that appears where there are irregularities.
Measuring edge with stop.
The measuring edge is equipped with a stop, among other features. This allows the WMD digital protractor to be used as a digital angle gauge. The base arm is secured at one edge, while the angle is measured or marked using the other arm. The stop ensures secure locking and prevents accidental slipping off the workpiece during angle measurement with the protractor.
Sturdy arms.
For greater rigidity,the aluminum arms arereinforced with stiffening ribs on the underside, which prevents the arms from bending. The metric scale on both arms of the digital protractor features high contrast and is therefore very easy to read. This allows for accurate and reliable measurements, minimizing errors and discrepancies.
Battery compartment with child-resistant lock.
The digital protractor module contains a CR2032 button cell battery. The battery compartment with child safety lock complies with the IEC 62368-1:2018 product safety standard. Therefore, the battery compartment must be opened simultaneously with two fingers in order to replace the battery.
HOLD function.
The current measured value can be manually locked using the locking screw or held on the display using the “Hold” function. The measured value remains displayed even if the protractor is moved or completely removed from its position. This additional function is particularly helpful in situations where it is necessary to measure an angle in inaccessible locations where the value on the display cannot be read or can only be read with difficulty.
Zero Function.
The Zero function allows you to set the current angle value to zero or establish a new zero point. Resetting to zero creates a reference for subsequent angle measurements with the protractor, with the current angle value serving as the starting point. When the Zero function is activated, the current angle value is set as the zero point.
