Deep luster and long-lasting protection

SELDER Golvolja linseed oil gives wooden floors a deep luster that cannot be achieved with synthetic oils or waxes. The impregnated layer lasts for decades, and damage can be easily repaired by sanding and reapplying the oil. Shiny wear marks can be evened out by polishing with a little oil.

SELDER flaxseed oils dispel the myths associated with traditional flaxseed oils:

  1. Short drying time: SELDER dries quickly (1 day at 20 °C) thanks to the removal of antioxidants, without the need for drying agents.

  2. No permanent yellowing: SELDER has removed beta-carotene, so painted wood does not yellow permanently, although it may temporarily darken and then fade.

  3. No chalking: SELDER eliminates chalking and the formation of white spots by removing saturated fatty acids and wax.

  4. Fungicide-free: SELDER protects wood from rot naturally, eliminating the need for fungicides.

  5. Solvent- and drying agent-free: SELDER produces pure linseed oil without additives, suitable for a wide range of applications from wood impregnation to metal corrosion protection.

How do you use linseed floor oil?

  1. Sand the floor with sandpaper that has a minimum grit of 180.
  2. Heat the oil to 130 °C and apply it with a natural-bristle brush.
  3. Spread the oil from areas where it pools to areas that absorb it.
  4. Rub the remaining oil into the floor using a sanding pad with 120- and 320-grit sandpaper.
  5. After 20–30 minutes, wipe away any remaining oil.
  6. Allow the floor oil to dry for about one day at 20 °C with adequate ventilation.
  7. For a glossy finish, polish the floor the next day using a sanding pad with gradually increasing grit sizes.
  8. Clean floors treated with linseed oil using only water, neutral, or acidic detergents.

SELDER linseed oil is free of solvents, drying agents, and additives, providing optimal protection for floors without any negative effects."
