Saw blades for longitudinal cutting of wood
Saw blades for ripping wood have more aggressive gearing with fewer teeth to ensure cutting parallel to the grain quickly and with less effort. Thanks to the larger flank (tooth spacing), the saw blade takes more material out of the cut, so there is no risk of the saw getting stuck in the cut. Compared to cross-cut saw blades, rip-cut saw blades are more robust to keep a straight cut line even on long pieces of wood.
Do you want one saw blade for both cross and rip cuts? Choose a compromise solution - the universal wood saw blade.
