Where is it suitable for?

Rubio Monocoat Oil Plus 2C stands up to even the most demanding interiors.

It is ideal for:

· inhigh-traffic public spaces,

· onfloors, staircases, tables, and countertops,

· forfinishing furniture, walls, and decorative elements,

·on all types of wood— solid wood, veneer, and MDF.

The combination of oil and accelerator ensures rapid curing and maximum protection right from the start. This makes it suitable even where a quick return to use is needed—whether in a home or commercial space.

Additionally, it can be used as a renovation or maintenance coat on wood that has already been treated with Rubio Monocoat oil.

Applications:

Furniture, stairs, and countertops

Step 1 – Lightly sand

Sand the surface until it is smooth and free of scratches.
Use sandpaper with a grit of P120–150.
Then vacuum and wipe away the dust so that nothing remains on the wood.

Step 2 – Clean

For best results, wipe the surface with Rubio Cleaner.
Let the wood dry completely —it must be clean and dry so that the oil bonds well with the surface.

Step 3 – Mix the two components

The package contains two components –A and B.
Pour3 parts A + 1 part B into a bowl.
Stir for about 1 minute until the mixture is uniform.
The oil is now ready to use.

Step 4 – Apply a small amount

Applya small amount of oil to the surface—a little really goes a long way.
Spread it evenly over the entire surface using a sponge,pad,or cloth.

If you’re using a stainless steel or plastic spatula: spread the oil in a thin layer in small sections that you can finish within 30 minutes.

Step 5 – Wipe off the excess

After a few minutes, take a clean cloth andwipe off any oil that hasn’t been absorbed.
The surface must be dry to the touch and must not be sticky.

Then gently wipe the entire surface again with:

a clean cloth, or

a hand sander witha white pad(white backing),

and do this no later than 30 minutes after applying the oil.

2. Floors:

Floors – (STEPS 1–3 are the same as in the previous case)

STEP 4 – Applying in sections (5–10 m²)

Work on the floor in smaller sections of 5–10 m².

Start at the edges – take a beige or red pad (Scrubby) and apply the oil to the edges of the room.

Apply a small amount of oil to the area (place a drop with a brush approximately every 50 cm).

Buff the oil with a machine using a beige or red pad so that it spreads evenly across the planks.

If using a stainless steel or plastic spatula: only apply oil to areas that you can finish within 30 minutes (including wiping off the excess).

STEP 5 – Wiping Off Excess

Once the oil is spread, you must remove everything left on the surface.

Use a clean cloth or a polishing machine with a white pad.

The surface must be dry to the touch, non-sticky, and free of visible oil.

STEP 6 – Final Overall Polishing

Once you have finished all areas:

Go over the entire floor one more time with a polishing machine using a new, clean white pad.

This will even out the appearance and remove any remaining oil so that nothing sticks.

Repairs and Renovations –Oil Plus 2C

STEP 1 – Clean the surface

First, thoroughly clean the wood with Rubio Monocoat Deep Cleaner until all dirt and stains are gone.

If certain types of stains remain even after cleaning, use:

RMC Grease Remover – grease remover

RMC Limespot Remover – lime stain remover

RMC Tannin Remover – tannin remover

If the surface is heavily damaged or has been neglected for a long time, it may need to be lightly sanded with the same grit as was used for the original finish.

STEP 2 – Rinse and let dry

Wipe away loosened dirt witha damp cloth or mop and clean water.
Allow the surface to dry completely (approx. 30 minutes at 20 °C in a well-ventilated room).

STEP 3 – Mix the oil

Mix3 parts of Component A + 1 part of Component B.
Stir for 1–2 minutes until the mixture is uniform.

STEP 4 – Apply a small amount

Apply only a thin layer of oil using:

a beige/red Scrubby pad,

or a small beige pad on a sander (150 mm),

A little goes a long way—the surface should be lightly moistened.

STEP 5 – Wipe off the excess

After a few minutes:

wipe off all excess with a clean cloth,

or use a white pad on a sander (150 mm).

Finally, finish the surface with a cloth, no later than30 minutes after application.
The surface must be non-sticky and dry to the touch.

How long does it last?

Up to 36 months in the original packaging and in a dry place. The mixed A+B mixture is usable for 4–6 hours.
