Steel saw blades generally have fewer teeth than non-ferrous saw blades. The coarse teeth help with faster material removal and reduce heat generation during cutting. To remove excessive heat, some discs are equipped with ventilation holes. Iron saw blades can handle cutting pipes, profiles or bars made of iron and steel.
