Two ranges in one set

For smaller circles, use the compact circular guide with a range of approximately Ø 40–300 mm.

For larger diameters, use the aluminum arm with a sliding center, which can handle circles with diameters of Ø 250–1320 mm. The ranges therefore partially overlap.

Exact Diameter Without Recalculation

The scale allows you to set both internal and external milling, so within the standard range, you can set the desired diameter directly without having to recalculate the radius and cutter offset.

Make Your Own Round Table Top

Do you need to mill a really large circle? The CircleGuideKit can handle circular parts up to Ø 1320 mm—such astabletops, large decorative pieces, or other circular elements.

TurnLock™ – Attach and Route

Attach the universal TurnLock™ base plate to your router, and then quickly snap on individual guide sleeves without any time-consuming screwing.

TurnLock also allows for quick replacement of compatible Milescraft guide sleeves.

More stable edge milling

The set also includes an Offset Base—an extended support base

It provides the router with greater support, for example, when machining the edge of a workpiece where the router’s standard base no longer rests flat against the material.

A large handle makes it easier to guide and control the router.

How does a compass work?

Secure one point of the jig to the center of the circle you want to draw, and the router rotates around it. You set the desired diameter by adjusting the distance between the router and the center.

For large circles, you adjust this distance using the sliding center on the aluminum arm.

What You Should Know Before Milling

The cutter rotates around a fixed center point, so you need to account for a small hole in the center of the circle

For deeper or through-hole cutouts, it is best to mill the material gradually in several passes. The manufacturer recommends individual passes of approximately 6–8 mm.

For circles with a diameter of approximately 1050–1320 mm, you need to rotate the guide. Within this range, the integrated scale can no longer be used, and the distance of the cutter from the center must be set by manual measurement.

What is the maximum size of circles that can be milled with the Milescraft CircleGuideKit 1269?

The set covers circles with diameters ranging from approximately Ø 40 to 1320 mm. A compact circular guide is used for smaller diameters, while an aluminum arm with a sliding center is used for larger circles.

How do you make a round tabletop with a router?

Set the desired diameter, secure the center of the circle, and guide the router around it. The CircleGuideKit allows you to mill circular parts up to Ø 1320 mm, so you can use it, for example, to make a round tabletop. Thicker material should be milled in several passes.

Is it possible to mill a hole or a separate circular part?

Yes. The tool allows for both internal and external milling, so you can create a precise circular hole, a circular groove, or a standalone circular part.

Yes. The tool allows for both internal and external milling, so you can create a precise circular hole, a circular groove, or a separate circular part.

Not within the normal range. The scale allows you to set the desired diameter directly. However, for very large circles, approximately Ø 1050–1320 mm, you need to rotate the guide and adjust the distance of the cutter from the center by measuring it manually.

Will there be a hole in the center of the circle after milling?

Yes. When you use a compass, it rotates around a fixed center point, so you need to account for a small hole in the center of the circle.

Is it possible to mill all the way through the material?

Yes. However, for deeper and through-cut notches, it is best to mill in several passes rather than cutting through the entire thickness of the material at once.

Does the set also include a milling cutter?

Yes. The European version of the CircleGuideKit 1269 includes a straight cutter with a diameter of 6.35 mm and an 8 mm shank.

Does the CircleGuideKit fit every router?

The TurnLock™ base plate is designed for a wide range of router models, but compatibility with every single model cannot be guaranteed. Therefore, it is advisable to check the mounting options for the base plate on your specific router.
