    Set the desired diameter and mill a precise hole or a separate circular part—without having to create a custom template for each size.

    TurnLock™ – Attach and Mill

    Attach the TurnLock™ base plate to the router, and then quickly mount the compass without any additional screws. 

    The system is also compatible with other Milescraft accessories.

    How does a compass work?

    Secure one end of the tool to the center of the circle you want to draw, and the router rotates around it. You can easily set the desired diameter by adjusting the distance between the router and the center.

    What You Should Know Before Milling

    The SmallCircleCompass rotates around a fixed center point while in use, so you’ll need to account for a small hole in the center of the circle. For deeper or through-cut openings, it’s best to mill the material gradually in several passes.

    What is the maximum diameter of a circle that can be milled?

    SmallCircleCompass allows you to mill circles with diametersranging from 38 to 305 mm.

    Is this product intended for making holes or circular parts?

    For both. The scale has settings forboth the inner and outer diameters, so you can mill a circular hole or a separate circular part.

    Do I need to do any recalculations when setting the diameter?

    When using the included Ø 6.35 mm cutter, you can set the desired circle diameter directly using the scale for inner and outer cuts.

    Is the milling cutter included as well?

    Yes. The European version of the Milescraft 1260 includes aØ 6.35 mm straight router bitwith an 8 mm shank.
