The LS 103 Ec is powered by a high-performance CUprex motor with a power input of 2,500 W. The purpose of this power isn’t to chase numbers on a spec sheet, but to drive the chain smoothly into a solid beam and create a deep mortise without unnecessarily slow material removal.

It is precisely when producing a large number of carpentry joints that the difference compared to drilling a hole and then finishing it by hand is greatest.

8.7 kg—so it’s actually practical to use on a construction site

For a machine designed for large beams, power isn’t the only important factor. The LS 103 Ec weighs 8.7 kg without the power cord, so it can be carried between individual joints and used even on structures where handling a heavier machine would be significantly more cumbersome.

The ergonomic layout of the handles and controls is designed to ensure the user maintains control of the machine during mortising.

Replacing and Tensioning the Chain Without Unnecessary Disassembly

The clamping system is designed for quick replacement of the cutting chain. In addition, the chain can be tensioned even with the protective guard installed, which saves time during operation and facilitates routine machine maintenance.
