Reach is not the height you stand at

The maximum working reach is the approximate height that a standing person can reach. The manufacturer calculates it based on the maximum permitted standing height—that is, the height of the highest step, rung, or platform on which the user is permitted to stand—and adds approximately 198 cm. This value corresponds to the reach of an adult approximately 175 cm tall with an outstretched arm.*

The working reach is therefore greater than the maximum permitted standing height. The actual height you can reach depends on your height.

* This is the manufacturer’s calculation method, not a value specified by the EN 131 standard. That standard does not specify the user’s height or reach. Most other brands also use a similar principle.

90° ladder

Shorten one side of the stepladder so you can get closer to the wall. This is useful, for example, when painting, installing, or performing maintenance on vertical surfaces.

Use on staircases

You can adjust each side of the stepladder to a different length, so they can rest on two different levels of the staircase.

Step Stool with Handle

The wide work platform makes standing more comfortable during longer work sessions. The AirDeck® also serves as a handrail in front of you and a place to set down your tools.

On a level surface, you can use the Select Step as a freestanding ladder. You can adjust its height depending on where you need to reach.

Do I have to carry the Select Step when moving it?

No, you don’t. The integrated Tip & Glide™ wheels allow you to easily tilt the ladder and roll it wherever you need it—handy for use throughout the house.

Do they take up too much space at home?

When folded, it measures approximately 156 × 70 × 22 cm. Thanks to its depth of just 22 cm, you can store it against a wall, in a closet, or even in a tall cabinet with a narrow space similar to that for an ironing board—just be sure to check the interior dimensions beforehand.
