Japanese Dozuki saws
Dozuki saws are distinguished by thin saw blades with very fine teeth. You can recognize them at a glance, as they have a reinforcement on the back of the saw blade. This provides additional stability to the blade, which is sometimes only 0.3 millimetres thick.
Japanese Dozuki hand saws are used for the finest cross cuts and delicate joinery work. They can also be used as model saws. You will appreciate them when making precision cuts for precision-faced joints or cutting out herringbone joints.
Due to the reinforcement on the saw back, the Dozuki has a limited depth of cut.
