Screw clamps
Screw clamps transmit the clamping force by means of a thread. Thanks to this, they can be tightened very firmly - the clamps develop clamping force up to 1000 kg. They are usually equipped with a rotatable wooden handle that you use to tighten the clamp. Some screw clamps have a crank that allows you to achieve maximum tightening without too much effort.
A popular variant of the screw clamp is the so-called pipe clamp. It is a construction that you put on a pipe of a given diameter, thus creating a clamp of any span. It's great as a grout clamp.
You will need both hands to fix the screw clamp. If you're looking for one-handed clamps, go for quick-release clamps or spring clamps.
